Humility’s epistemology is America’s life or death sentence – Video

“Before thee We sent (messengers) to many nations, and We afflicted the nations with suffering and adversity, that they might learn humility. When the suffering reached them from us, why then did they not learn humility? On the contrary their hearts became hardened, and Satan made their (sinful) acts seem alluring to them.” — Qur’an, Surat Al-Anaam 6:42,43

“Successful indeed are the believers, those who humble themselves in their prayers.” – Qur’an, Surat Al-Muminun 23:1,2

“Scholars note humility before Allah and the will of Allah (Sharia) is demanded from every Muslim.[21] Donald Borchert[22] states that the concept of humility in Islam is different than the concept of epistemic humility in philosophy. Islam requires its faithful to be humble before God, but also preaches triumphalism before non-believers and those who have a different religious beliefs.[22] Islam does not believe in epistemic humility, that is where a person is open to the possibility that his worldview may not be complete, or may have flaws, or that the alternate spiritual views may contain valid insights.[22]” (Wikipedia: ‘Humility‘)

Proverbs 18:12 (AMP) “I, Wisdom [from God], make prudence my dwelling, and I find out knowledge and discretion.”

Proverbs 29:23 (AMP) “A man’s pride will bring him low, but he who is of a humble spirit will obtain honor.”

Here is a good explanation for the loss of Christian humility. If we focus on experience or academic study, and we choose not to function in joint belief with regular worship, singing and hearing bible reading with balanced with creation, then the active growth of the fear of the Lord and attitudes of humility, confidence, love for Savior, and resistence to evil is limited. (Deut. 10:12,13; Exodus 20:18-21; Psalm 31:19; 130:3,4; Isaiah 66:1,2; Ephesians 3:14-19) [Each reference from biblegateway.com]

Today’s post is about humility. Yesterday’s post was a little over the top. It was showing too much of the real me. Not that I am ashamed, because it was honest enough – honest enough to expose my ignorance of how ministry works, and that my heart is not fully committed to marriage and family as God wants.

I need humility, and our country needs humility. Our family needs humility, and our church. So what came first – our family, or our nation? Our family. And what came first, our church or our country? Right! Our family or our church? Right, our church because it had become the conservator of our humble faith.

WHAT WOULD BRING AMERICA TO IT’S KNEES?

You ask what can our country do to reverse the extreem error of the American Enterprise? One thing: Knowledge of and obedience to God and his laws. Classic philosophy holds that the theory of knowledge, epistemology, is the first, or foundational branch of all its branches of philosophy. (Why is obvious.)

The point is, if America is not working, then it should not eat. (A biblical principle). Law-makers are become a laughing-stock, when the laws they make are not given provision to be enforced correctly, and they continue to think more laws are needed. That’s hypocritical! And such unproductivity needs to stop.

In the wake of 9-11, our leaders, both Presidents spoke out in defiance of the enemy attack, “We will build the tower again – even more glorious!” They failed to realize it was God who removed our ‘hedge of protection‘ because of rejecting God in our schools and his word in our courts. THE BLESSING OF HUMILITY

Now Moses was a very humble man, more humble than anyone else on the face of the earth.” (Numbers 12:3)

This verse is interpreted by knowing how the context shows if he humbled himself – to be characterized by humility, or was humbled by God. The former infers that since he heard his voice willingly, his heart was humbled already. Where God found him at 80 years old, as a shepherd, in Midian (place of judgment).

“The New Testament shows mankind only in relation to God, where the cultural Greek use of humble is poverty, sociallly powerless and shameful, rarely in a positive tone, commending an unassuming or obedient attitude.” (From Professor L.O. Richards, Expository Dictionary of Bible Words, Zondervan 1985)

2 Corinthians 10:1 (AMP) “Now I myself, Paul, beseech you, by the gentleness and consideration (humility) of Christ [Himself; I] who [am] lowly enough [so they say] when among you face to face, but bold (fearless and outspoken) to you when [I am] absent from you!”

DANGEROUS DOCTRINES

Colossians 2:18,23, (AMP) “Let no one defraud you by acting as an umpire and declaring you unworthy and disqualifying you for the prize, insisting on self-abasement and worship of angels, taking his stand on visions [he claims] he has seen, vainly puffed up by his sensuous notions and inflated by his unspiritual thoughts and fleshly conceit, . . . Such [practices] have indeed the outward appearance [that popularly passes] for wisdom, in promoting self-imposed rigor of devotion and delight in self-humiliation and severity of discipline of the body, but they are of no value in checking the indulgence of the flesh (the lower nature). [Instead, they do not honor God but serve only to indulge the flesh.]”

PRAYER OF HUMILITY FOR OUR NATION

Prayer breakfast and President calling for humility, and condemning ISIL. But here, President Obama stops short of expressing remorse and confession of our defiant failure. We need to repent! To turn our schools back to prayer, and put God’s Commandments back in our courts, according to 2 Chronicles 7:14:

“If My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves, pray, seek, crave, and require of necessity My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.”

Pastor Rick Warren prayed for me and my house last week and it is also worth repeating, “Father, bless the house of your servant.

May the LORD bless and keep you,

Charles
