The Four Forces of Eternal Nature – Hub

By Charles Bundschu

(Taken from Wikipedia as public domain, The Four Last Things, 1500, by Hiernymus Bosch)

Go your way, eat your bread, and drink your wine with a cheerful heart [if you are righteous, wise, and in the hands of God], for God has already accepted your works.” Ecclesiastes 9:7 (Amplified)

Looking at this rather disturbing painting, I think I am ready to go on to higher and richer endeavors. I mean, of course, to face the Church’s ‘last four things’. You can see all of them graphically. My visualizing heart leans toward the upper quadrant–the only place where clothes are allowed. Heaven’s door is Jesus. . .

I have written successfully, fifty-nine (59) posts, which is about the same as I had written formerly with; and ten more than the novel, A Worthy Rock (48) I no longer follow, and the novel is finished (Linked here by topic, if you can find it.); but I remember that every so often–every nineteen (19) articles–I had written a hub. But this hub I need to link and index all the topics covered.

(I was just thinking that is more than an access to all I’ve written in theology401. And, since I have not used tags as they were posted, the tags can now be listed and linked. Otherwise my links can be targeted and focused to take the reader directly to the post — still in work.)

The church’s basic teaching ( about death is priority, but I have googled ‘death to blogging’ instead. This explains that the original social-media-generated creations were supposed to generate a growing following, well since it is declining, something better has to come along.

Keven Drum with Andrew Sullivan (Mother Jones Magazine, and are learning what this means. “‘Old school’ pretty much means a daily weblog with frequent updates written by one person (or two) but not much more.Ezra Klein (Wonkblog, Washington Post) agrees because, “conventional blogging doesn’t scale well.” (scale: social traffic) Even when bloggers link themselves and expand topics upon topics–gaining more interesting fields, and linking to catch the media searches, doesn’t help. We understand. Applying our content to more categories wouldn’t help. (God is in charge here.)

The church’s teaching concerning judgment is priority here, but the old-school blog-sites are not able to keep up with the likes of facebook. What facebook does is enable every wall to have access to every other family or friend’s wall–no search engine involved–conversations have to flow more easily. . .”short and focused”.

I believe in the holy catholic (universal) church. (Not the Roman Catholic, although with it’s mass of teachings growing so as to be inclusive for everyone’s idea of what’s right and wrong.) History is my friend here. Where we owe a debt of gratitude to the Vatican for keeping some of all the authentic records–to have preserved the actual documents that support the oldest biblical sources. But, and hear this, the world has more original copies held for verification. Reviewing my copy of The Greek New Testament has shown this.

My own death is coming sooner than later, right? I have already lived a full and satisfying life. So now, it stands to reason I can look forward to a full and satisfying death. Death does not end life. Death for the ungodly ends life in a torment of painful existence. Death for the godly is a transition to something better. Let me confirm this.

The says, ‘When infinite justice takes over. . .’ Catechism 1021 and 1022 explain each of us will be rewarded immediately after breathing stops, according to our works and faith. At the very moment of departure, each man receives his eternal retribution in his immortal soul–the judgment that refers to his life in Christ. Blessedness and honor, (heaven) after purification, or eternal damnation in hell.

And, Anthony DeStefano tells us with his Travel Guide to Heaven, “When we get to heaven, we won’t know what to do first! There’ll be no limit to imagination–sacred, holy work will be play! Constantly growing, our minds, psychologically challenged to what’s more enjoyable! As long as we have new bodies, with more time to exist–no end in heaven. Feelings of pleasure will happen from God’s presence; no boredom there! Transcendent times . . . Everything will be so much better! [note: No marriage in heaven, but relationships will be cherished. Teaching of the resurrection of the body, doctrine of interest is overly interpreted–practice of true love, selfless giving–love in heaven is universal; all true bonds on earth will last, and true revelations will be understood.]”

The only reason for hell in the first place, was to chain up the demons along with Satan. But when each of the Old Covenant prophecies were being fulfilled in One Person, Yeshua, Jesus of Natzaret (Nazareth), the opportunities for recognizing him as God’s Son were hard to dismiss. Read John D. Keyser here:

This is a challenge: our theology posts, explain a lot of biblical stuff. If you have any questions, please comment. I am making every issue easy to see. Figuring four tags per post, that means a list of 240 tags. We have the time. And now, already, the indexes are linked above and below — scriptural index is next. . .

See the text used above, that came from this day’s devotion, and my marked Amplified Bible. See note: ‘Robert Jeffress, Guilt-free Living, whole book written on this one verse.’ [Exactly what I needed. Thank you Father!]

FUTURE FAITH – Prophecy conference ‘Signs of the Times’ My review part two – video

Proverbs 18:13  (AMP) “He who answers a matter before he hears the facts—it is folly and shame to him.” Matthew 24:37 (AMP) “As were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.”

(L.A. Murzulli was introduced and shared how he is going to try presenting his material very slowly — because there is so much and he has so much time — three hours should be sufficient. He said and his audience laughed. He has a nice smile under his mustache and his dark-blonde hair curling around his neck, bounces slightly as he chuckles. He looked like a college professor.)

“We are in a cosmic war, folks; and a great eviction notice is being served — even today! We are playing a cosmic chess game. Picture yourselves riding with Elyon (Most High). I am a biblical literalist. We can call Lucifer bad and worse: Fallen One! Do we really believe in this? The supernatural is real! And it is growing!”
So the Fallen One is kicked-out of the 3rd heaven. We are the fallen angel’s replacement (move for cosmic chess) And then the Darwinian paradigm rebellion is a counter move. This means our elected leaders are not able to tell us the truth in these matters.

Genesis 3:15, “And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her Offspring [Christ]; He will bruise and tread your head underfoot, and you will lie in wait and bruise His heel.” (see also: Is. 9:6; Mt. 1:23; Lk. 1:31; Ro. 16:20; Gal. 4:4; Rev. 12:17)

Genesis 6 and the Book of Enoch tells us how the conference of fallen angels fell to Mount Hermon on border of Lebenan and Syria, north of Israel. This is the place where Yeshua the Messiah was transfigured. Check this out on Google Earth, it is on the 33rd parallel, and then go to the exact 180 degrees opposite side of the earth: is Roswell New Mexico.

Jude verse 6 confirms the Enoch account: “And angels who did not keep (care for, guard, and hold to) their own first place of power but abandoned their proper dwelling place—these He has reserved in custody in eternal chains (bonds) under the thick gloom of utter darkness until the judgment and doom of the great day.” [Verses 14,15, and 19] (AMP)

Job 2:1, 2 “Again there was a day when the sons of God [the angels] came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan (the adversary and the accuser) came also among them to present himself before the Lord.”

“Here is an example of the Angel of Light (Lucifer) a shape-shifter — we are told to test the spirits, a game theory;

“As in the day of Noah . . . The Nephilim are on the earth;

“Genesis 10:8 Cush (‘Darkness’) fathered Nimrod (‘Strong’). Sodom and Gamorah — only nephilim present, equals judgment!

“Seed of the Serpent versus the seed of Messiah. They are taking these events recorded as personal, and they want to pollute the human DNA. Kaimira (the half human and half non-human) is evidence, that resulted from excess demonic hormones. Also Darwinism-Satanic bible cuts knees off Christianity.

“Giants are called ‘sons of god’ (Hebrew, Nephilim). The fallen angels know where Jerusalem is going to be. From the 2nd heaven, fallen angels can see through time — our supernatural. Nephilim are in the promised land, until the sin of the Amorites.

“Events of the destruction of both Temples occurred on the same date; the 9th of Av. Antisemitism causes another chess move — Hitler’s cosmic death trap, and Israel suffered the Holocaust.

“Promised Land was infiltrated by the Rephayim (tribe of Nephilim), when Israel was serving Egypt. Og, their king, was 12-feet tall, Goliath was 9-feet tall. God told Joshua to take out all of the Promised Land peoples. Genecide by God’s will. All Nephilim are hybrid beings — they have no soul.” A.L. said.

“In 1313 BCE, reference my book, On the Trail of the Nephilim; seed-war theory: The soul-less ones have to be destroyed. An example of the Amorite sins is shown here. A natural woman died with child and was embalmed. The excavation and forensic examination revealed a 2000 year old fetus having a preserved elongated skull.

“This was in the Peruvian Andies called Chongas Metropolis and evidence how 3500 years ago, the Nephilim arrived from Canaan and began their human gene manipulation. It’s not hard to piece this puzzle together. Let me show you a Peruvian folk dance ceremony with a spooky stilt-walker.” L.A. said, and showed his video clip.

“Even though this evidence is legal according to archeological standards, our education system won’t consider teaching these facts because of the Darwinism Paradigm. Even entertainment, like movies, can only use the strange evidence in a science-fiction genre. I.e.; The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, showed illegal DNA test (outside agency that manipulates unknown private DNA. This is intellectual fascism.” L.A. said.

“It was Goliath’s relatives, shown with elongated skulls, not cradle-boarded, and featured ‘star-child’ that is a legal sample from Sagomon at 12,000 feet among the 3500 year-old dwellings that giants built. Fallen angel technology is about the ‘seed-war’. They want to be worshipped, the church is asleep! Why should we care?

“So also shall the coming of the Son of Man be.” (Matthew 24:37) The fallen ones, soul-less hybrid beings, from the fourth century Sethite Theory. 2 2 Thesselonians 2:7-12 ; 3:1,2.

Here Mr. Murzulli shows a video that is so sensual and alluring that he has to admit that the youth already have seen it, but we need to understand why it is and what to do about it. Protect our children from the worship of Ishtar. Madonna also. She does open Luciferic occult witchcraft. (Claim the blood of Yeshua-Jesus here!)

The church needs to see what Luciferic occult witchcraft is. The antimessiah is coming. Hitler was a fallen one. Spirit of Destiny occultists attach meaning to ‘Sons of the Nephilim’ spear head (that pierced Yeshua-Jesus)

“Antichrist, seed of nephilim, same type of evidence is dark video. Kids are being inducted already! Mark of the beast is real! Sobering! The truth is that the enemy’s signs and wonders are lies.

“Word of knowledge, ‘Walk in boldness with power!” (In Yeshua-Jesus’ name, Amen)

FUTURE FAITH – Cyber Secure Theology – Video

‘Kismet’ the robot with rudimentary social skills in MIT Museum, Wikipedia

Information Security Attributes: or qualities, i.e., Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability (CIA). Information Systems are composed in three main portions, hardware, software and communications with the purpose to help identify and apply information security industry standards, as mechanisms of protection and prevention, at three levels or layers: physical, personal and organizational. Essentially, procedures or policies are implemented to tell people (administrators, users and operators) how to use products to ensure information security within the organizations. (Wikipedia)(Hear his voice here:  MIT Video Youtube)

I was watching EWTN (Eternal Word Television Network) the other day about the pope’s visit to his home country, and then there was an interview with the author of the book, Cyber Theology. This sparked me to think about my social media posts, and how my Agent of Hope award is coming along. So I looked into cyber theology. (Subtitle: Thinking Christianity in the Era of the Internet.)

Some selected reading about internet and cyber technology has revealed why this is so. Read the following: Age of Spiritual machines by Ray Kurzweil; Breakpoint by Richard Clarke; Our Posthuman Future by Francis Fukuyama; and The Intelligent Universe  by James Gardner. (please google them if not linked)

CASE IN POINT – ‘Spreading the fragrance of Christ’ to cross-cultural missions.

Cybermissions and general missions are alienated. High-tech and high-touch are being pushed apart by a deep theological and missiological misunderstanding of the nature of technology in spreading the fragrance of Christ.
Cybermissions is the application of digital ministry techniques to cross-cultural missions. Either alone or in partnership and synergy with conventional missions approaches.” (, John Edmiston)

I looked into my Dictionary of Bible Words for Professor Richards to show some etymological background. The Hebrew word for seal is chowthem (hotam), the stamp or signet, while chatham (hatam), is the use of it.  Dr. Richards gives two examples: Isaiah 8:16; and Daniel 12:9 showing important documents: “Wrap up this document, and (seal) confine its teachings to those I have instructed.” (CJB) . . . “But (the angel) said, ‘Go your way Dani’el; for these words are to remain secret and sealed until the time of the end.'” (CJB)

The main points being ownership, authority, authenticity, and security. The New Testament (Covenant) has similar words in Greek; sphragizo, to stamp for security, keep secret; and sphragis, is the stamp showing authenticity, with distinctive marking of ownership.

Guarantee business deals — Jeremiah 32:11-14 11 (NASB) Then I took the deeds of purchase, both the sealed copy containing the terms and conditions and the open copy; 12 and I gave the deed of purchase to Baruch the son of Neriah, the son of Mahseiah, in the sight of Hanamel my uncle’s son and in the sight of the witnesses who signed the deed of purchase, before all the Jews who were sitting in the court of the guard. 13 And I commanded Baruch in their presence, saying, 14 ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, “Take these deeds, this sealed deed of purchase and this open deed, and put them in an earthenware jar, that they may last a long time (many days).”

Ratify documents — Nehamiah 10:1 10 (9:38) “‘In view of all this, we are making a binding covenant, putting it in writing and having it sealed by our leaders, our L’vi’im and our cohanim.’” (CJB)

Insure a prophecy — Daniel 9:24 24 “Seventy weeks have been decreed for your people and for your holy city for putting an end to the transgression, for making an end of sin, for forgiving iniquity, for bringing in everlasting justice, for setting the seal on vision and prophet, and for anointing the Especially Holy Place. (CJB)

Protect books — Revelation 5:2,5,9 (CJB) 2 and I saw a mighty angel proclaiming in a loud voice, “Who is worthy to open the scroll and break its seals?”. . . 5 One of the elders said to me, “Don’t cry. Look, the Lion of the tribe of Y’hudah, the Root of David, has won the right to open the scroll and its seven seals.” . . . 9 and they sang a new song, “You are worthy to take the scroll and break its seals; because you were slaughtered; at the cost of blood you ransomed for God persons from every tribe, language, people and nation.

Lock doors — Matthew 27:66 (CJB)  66 So they went and made the grave secure by sealing the stone and putting the guard on watch.

Authenticate a will — John (Yochanan) 6:27b “For this is the one on whom God the Father has put his seal.” (CJB)

Demonstrate a binding trust — Romans 4:11, “In fact he, (Abraham) received circumcision as a sign, as a seal of the righteousness, he had been credited with on the ground of the trust (faith believing) he had while uncircumcised.  This happened so that he could be the father of every uncircumcised person who trusts and thus has the righteousness credited to him.”  (CJB)

Confirm a calling – 2 Corinthians 1:21,22 “Moreover it is God who sets both us and you in firm union with the Messiah (the Christ); he has anointed us, put his seal on us, and given us his Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee for the future.”  (CJB)

God’s ownership of  his people — Revelation 7:3-8 (CJB)  3 “Do not harm the land or the sea or the trees until we have sealed the servants of our God on their foreheads!” 4 I heard how many were sealed — 144,000 from every tribe of the people of Isra’el: 5 From the tribe of Y’hudah 12,000 were sealed from the tribe of Re’uven 12,000 from the tribe of Gad, 12,000 6 from the tribe of Asher 12,000 from the tribe of Naftali 12,000 from the tribe of M’nasheh 12,000 7 from the tribe of Shim‘on 12,000 from the tribe of Levi 12,000 from the tribe of Yissakhar 12,000 8 from the tribe of Z’vulun 12,000 from the tribe of Yosef 12,000 from the tribe of Binyamin 12,000.”

God’s witness to Christ (Messiah) — John 6:27 (CJB) 27 Don’t work for the food which passes away but for the food that stays on into eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For this is the one on whom God the Father has put his seal.”

Believer’s security — 2 Corinthians 1:21,22; 2 Timothy 2:19 (CJB)  21 Moreover, it is God who sets both us and you in firm union with the Messiah; he has anointed us, 22 put his seal on us, and given us his Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee for the future. . . . Nevertheless, God’s firm foundation stands stamped with these words: “The Lord knows his own,” and, “Let everyone who claims he belongs to the Lord stand apart from  wrongdoing.”  (Numbers16:5; Nahum 1:7; Numbers 16:26)

Assurrance — Ephesians 1:13; 4:30 (CJB) 13 Furthermore, you who heard the message of the truth, the Good News offering you deliverance, and put your trust in the Messiah were sealed by him with the promised Ruach HaKodesh, who guarantees  our inheritance until we come into possesssion of it and thus bring him praise commensurate with his glory. . . . 30 Don’t cause grief to God’s Ruach HaKodesh (the Holy Spirit), for he has stamped you as his property until the day of final redemption.

Ownership of married love — Song of Solomon 4:12; 8:6 12 “My sister, my bride, is a garden locked up, a pool covered over, a spring sealed shut. Set me like a seal on your heart, like a seal on your arm; for love is as strong as death, passion as cruel as Sh’ol; its flashes are flashes of fire, [as fierce as the] flame of Yah.” (CJB)

The teaching of our Deliverer tells us ‘With God all things are possible‘. And this is what he has shown me how to operate my twitter page. Don’t be in a hurry to gain followers. If their profile does not openly confess God, as Elohim, or Adonai, and Jesus the Christ or Yeshua the Messiah, and some personal association with a Messianic Assembly or Christian Church, then that disqualifies their character as an eligible follower, so they are blocked.

“Matthew 10:31-33 Disciples’ Literal New Testament (DLNT) 31 So do not be fearing. You are more valuable than many sparrows. (Jesus Instructs Them About His Mission: ‘I Came To Divide The World Over Myself!’) 32 “Everyone therefore who will confess Me in front of people, I also will confess him in front of My Father in the heavens. 33 But whoever denies Me in front of people, I also will deny him in front of My Father in the heavens.”

The same policy is applicable to facebook. If a profile has no open confession of Jewish or Christian faith, then the secular or humanist philosophy prevails. The Bible describes if we cannot openly confess Jesus as Lord (Yeshua as Adonai), then we are not members of, or belong to, the Kingdom of Heaven. The point? Enemy access.

Evil exists in the world and the internet cannot be so isolated, but your heart can be. The Christian/Messianic (especially biblical) solution is able to overcome anything evil. Because evil is classified antichrist. There is no middle or neutral ground. This is the ground of basic theology. Human nature is called wicked and evil. Why? Because of the Gospel. The Bible tells us how God paid for our fallen human nature. Learn the Bible.

Here is a clue to true security. God’s provision enables everything we need for deliverance from evil. His acceptance of our repentance, (changed mind) and faith in (acceptance of) him and his word, grants us entry into his kingdom where gifts of favor and protection reside — within holiness — where evil cannot and refuses to exist.

Of course such a concept has to be received by faith. Such faith becomes anointed by the Holy Spirit. And the power of this resides in the Gospel. Where else can absolute integrity of character come from? God has a plan for all our lives. You are included into his plan. Just receive him and his word. Amen.

Give God glory for his delivering word!

Thanks for following, friending me,

FINDING TRUTH – The bear that killed reason

A story about a man and a woman who would not listen to reason

French statue of Marianne who symbolizes Liberty

(Wikipedia, the French Republic freedom representative in the Post Office of the National Assembly)

Yesterday I made my bed as usual and I got hung-up again with the thought about ‘warp and woof’ of the sheets and blankets. So I looked up the objective study of what is called the Christian life view perspective. (taken from Dr. Mark Eckel, faith learning integration leader at the Capital Bible Seminary in Indianapolis, Indiana; website We need to learn this.

The image that I’ve captured is that of a graceful woman who is the French Republic symbol of Liberty. Called Marianne and she is wearing their liberty cap. She has a side-arm; she is holding an olive branch with her left hand and with her right, an orb beneath an angel? (a winged naked cherub)

The philosophical approach of visualizing is helpful. How we can imagine mentally that we desire to exist in the spiritual realm. Here is enough material to support the reality. Why? Because the truth has established it. . . (Taken from Mental Imagery by Nigel J.T. Thomas, Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy, 2014: This is far too long, we don’t need his entire discertation.)

(Review a post of two years ago explaining, the warp and woof of knowledge which is the fabric of theology, in my theology401blog-post. We can find some semblence of a Christian life-view perspective. But the biblical content helps ground my point.)

Last night, I was filled up with the fact it finally rained and a heat spell of nearly a month (3 weeks) is over, so that I can take this time to reflect what I heard in the bath, during devotion, and getting dressed. Bath is a time when my mental activity is really peaceful, so I hear from God. . . ‘The bear that killed reason.‘ is what I heard. An unusual topic, but I consider its source, and take note.

During devotion, this morning, I was shown that I need to cite my credential here. Just how can I say I know God is speaking thoughts into my mind? So that led me to the church fellowship with pastors that I am sharing — do they provide the spiritual covering that I need to do this? Yes basically so, but that doesn’t tell you of the ordination I received to be a deacon (server, helper). And that doesn’t tell of the Holy Spirit baptism I received.

More to the point, the bear that I heard about last night, led me into a search for a killer bear. The story I found was pretty grusome. A man and a woman that are named in these links, you might read about how a hungry bear actually ate them both. Why? How can a good God let something bad like this happen to good people? And how can I tell you what God wants you to hear, from His word, the blame is not with him.

When puting on underpants, I like to stand behind the door preventing any family member entering and finding me in a compromised position. (Please don’t try over-visualizing this — I just heard another word doing this.)

Then I thought about how God, our loving heavenly Father sees right through any and all fears of invasion of privacy. (He can see my nakedness, but chooses not to have a problem with it, and neither does he want me to — it is my flesh that he has told us he is not going to ‘strive’ over forever, and (so) limited human life-span to 120 years. (B’rsheet Genesis 6:3; Galations 5:16,17; and T’hillim Psalms 78:39) This is about our freedom (liberty) as Christians, and we need to grasp this if we can.

3 And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. Genesis 6:3  King James Version (KJV)

3 Then God said, “I’m not going to breathe life into men and women endlessly. Eventually they’re going to die; from now on they can expect a life span of 120 years.” Genesis 6:3  The Message (MSG)

3 Then the Lord said, “My spirit shall not abide in man for ever, for he is flesh, but his days shall be a hundred and twenty years.” Genesis 6:3  Revised Standard Version Catholic Edition (RSVCE)

16 This I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary the one to the other, so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. Galatians 5:16-17  21st Century King James Version (KJ21)

16-18 My counsel is this: Live freely, animated and motivated by God’s Spirit. Then you won’t feed the compulsions of selfishness. For there is a root of sinful self-interest in us that is at odds with a free spirit, just as the free spirit is incompatible with selfishness. These two ways of life are antithetical, so that you cannot live at times one way and at times another way according to how you feel on any given day. Why don’t you choose to be led by the Spirit and so escape the erratic compulsions of a law-dominated existence? Galatians 5:16-18  The Message (MSG)

16 But I say, walk by the Spirit, and do not gratify the desires of the flesh. 17 For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh; for these are opposed to each other, to prevent you from doing what you would. Galatians 5:16-17  Revised Standard Version Catholic Edition (RSVCE)

39 for He remembered that they were but flesh, a wind that passeth away and cometh not again. Psalm 78:39  21st Century King James Version (KJ21)

39 For he remembered that they were merely mortal men, gone in a moment like a breath of wind. Psalm 78:39  Living Bible (TLB)

39 He remembered that they were but flesh, a wind that passes and comes not again. Psalm 78:39  Revised Standard Version Catholic Edition (RSVCE)

The story of the Grizzley-man was factual. They were real persons. He was educated, lived in Southern California, wanted to be an actor, and was devoted to Alaskan bears. He overcame a drug problem, found a suitable helpmate to be his ‘partner’, who shared his passion, and they pursued what he believed was their destiny.

But both he and his ‘friend’ human being were devoid of the (Holy) Spirit that set them apart and above bears. They were passionate about the environment of bears. They ‘whispered to bears’, and they “played the character of lost souls.” A reporter said. They spent 13 seasons exposed to wild bears: too close. Another said, “He would say in New Age speak: “He would welcome death by bear.” He said out of his mouth, he would “Die by bear.”

But where was God, the Father and Creator of all things in their world? No where. They rejected God, their only savior, just like most Californians who live in agnostic atheism. Their god is ‘Liberty’. The same god that America has in her Statue of Liberty, which was given to us by France.

The image above is a depiction of the god of liberty or independance — the wicked bear-like serpent-image that stole the dominion from Adam and his helpmate, by a convincing lie and their agreement to disobey God and to become dominated by Satan the god of this world. The life lived by atheists today is not life. There is no (holy) Spirit in such soulish life. And the soul that so sins shall surely die:

20 The soul that sins, it [is the one that] shall die. The son shall not bear and be punished for the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear and be punished for the iniquity of the son; the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him only, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon the wicked only. Ezekiel 18:20  Amplified Bible (AMP)

18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. Isaiah 1:18  King James Version (KJV) and cross references: Isaiah 43:26; Matthew 6:2; and Psalms 51:7

The Hebrew word for reason is: yakach that means to be right, to decide, to justify, or convince as seen here:

7 Now therefore stand still, that I may reason (yakach) with you before the Lord of all the righteous acts of the Lord, which he did to you and to your fathers.  1 Samuel 12:7 King James Version (KJV)

26-28 “So, make your case against me. Let’s (yakach) have this out. Make your arguments. Prove you’re (yakach) in the right. Your original ancestor started the sinning, and everyone since has joined in. That’s why I had to disqualify the Temple leaders, repudiate Jacob and discredit Israel.”  Isaiah 43:26  The Message (MSG)

2-4 “When you do something for someone else, don’t call attention to yourself. You’ve seen them in action, I’m sure—‘playactors’ I call them—treating prayer meeting and street corner alike as a stage, acting compassionate as long as someone is watching, playing to the crowds. They get applause, true, but that’s all they get. When you help someone out, don’t think about how it looks. Just do it—quietly and unobtrusively. That is the way your God, who conceived you in love, working behind the scenes, helps you out.  Matthew 6:2  The Message (MSG)

7 Purify me with hyssop, and I shall be clean [ceremonially]; wash me, and I shall [in reality] be whiter than snow. Psalm 51:7 Amplified Bible (AMP)

Concluding this, we are deceived if we think freedom given to us by virtue of a constitutional right as citizens, of a godless society, we are wrong. That is not freedom. Is our liberty from injustice, from oppression, from tyranny?  Or is our freedom established by the truth?

The choices we make are clear. We have the ability to rethink our desire to agree or disagree with God. But our chances are few and getting fewer. The Greek word for reasonable is logikos which means rational or logical and  comes from the word logos which means something said or thought.

12 I appeal to you therefore, brethren, and beg of you in view of [all] the mercies of God, to make a decisive dedication of your bodies [presenting all your members and faculties] as a living sacrifice, holy (devoted, consecrated) and well pleasing to God, which is your (LOGIKOS) reasonable (rational, intelligent) service and spiritual worship. Romans 12:1  Amplified Bible (AMP)

Memories of growing up in a beloved family

I begin by saying, if it is ‘another Father’s Day tribute’, I have to make this one special. And because of my recent postings, you bet I will attempt to honor the only man I knew who honored his father and all the fathers in our extended family. Please join with me to understand who he was; he actually gave me his genes. How great is that!

Dad liked to be called Chas (‘Chaz’) by friends, a nickname for Charles, and he was named after his grandfather to be the ‘second’ not junior — Charles Bundschu (no middle name). Dad’s ‘grandpapa’ was partner with his father-in-law, Jacob Gundlach to form the J. Gundlach & Company in Sonoma in 1858 when they made the trip from the ‘Fatherland‘ Germany. They were well educated and blessed to have survived the ship-wreck suffered by a storm off the coast of Cape Horn. Their story is still sensational about recovering their precious lives and salvaging the cuttings of grape-vine varietals.

(The history of Rhinefarm is recorded on cousin Jeff’s (Jim’s son) website,

Dad’s grandpapa (in-law, Jacob) died in 1910 after declining health and continued suffering from the great loss of the huge stock inventory of wine varietals — everything he had built collapsed with  the earthquake in ’06. Dad’s grandpapa Jacob was a broken man. (I now remember Charles l was named in Who’s Who in 1928.)

Grandpapa’s son, Carl Eugene, my grandfather, was given the wine-maker ‘gift’, skill, and capability. But his older brother, Walter, was the heir and sole owner of the company. Grandfather Carl helped to get the winery back in shape. He married Gertrude and they had my father a year later in 1911, following his sister Betty, (my aunt). They lived in Sausalito, Marin County (in the house grandpapa built) while he worked as a vintner to help get the family winery warehouse back on it’s feet. Once that was done, he worked with several of the larger wineries in Napa and Sonoma counties. They lived in Santa Rosa, and dad attended Santa Rosa High, he played football there.

Grandpa Carl also had a disappointing life. His later career was working with a shipbuilder in Sausalito that was closer to their large house there, overlooking the bay. He died from TB after divorcing his wife in the late forties.  Dad always said he would write a book about his father, but never got around to it, leaving the material in a file with his younger brother, Philip. Philip was an electronics engineer, and processed his father’s memoir to give to the winery, where it rightfully belongs. (Dad always told me it was his father that first said, ‘Harvest only when the grapes are ready’ — not the wine pioneer, Count Agoston Haraszthy, who arrived in Buena Vista in 1857, and published ‘Grape culture, wine, and wine making’) But who are we to discredit the pioneer?  (Not me) Uncle Philip passed away in 2007.

Dad’s older sister, my aunt Betty (with her husband Jack Lindeman) was a family favorite. They kept their three boys, Jon, Robert, and Jim, in line while our dad had only my sister Barbara and me to bring along. Uncle Phil, however with his wife, Mary, had four children, Ellen, David, Philip, and Elizabeth. Our cousin-field was growing larger. Walter and Carl’s sister Louise married Richard Sims who brought forth Richard and Robert, who each married well and made cousins: Hillery, Julia, Lee, Elizabeth, Rick, and Robert. Then, Walter’s son, Towle with his wife, also Mary, had Jim, Susan, and Gigi. (16, there were others, but distant.)

We all converged at the Rhinefarm Vineyard each year to compare notes and sample the fruits produced. Uncle Towle, and Aunt Mary were often our hosts, but shared party hosting with the Sims brothers, Uncle Dick, and Uncle Bob (Louise’s sons), their places were much larger than ours. Uncle Jack and Aunt Betty’s place was too far away in the central valley. (Although, since freeways were built, it was fun to have the family over to the Lindeman’s orchard in Winters.)

So the family was not bigger than dad or his siblings and first cousins could manage. But actually, I got to know only a few of them, and my interests were guided by dad and his brother’s military and Scouting service. I chose to leave college for the military rather than persue an agriculture career. Not having the responsibility of owning land, I was free to go off and serve our great country like all the menfolk felt they had to do. Dad, his brother, Philip, and brother in-law Jack, served in the US Army, while Uncle Dick, (Richard) Sims, served as lawyer, Scout Commissioner, and appellate court judge. And Uncle Bob was the corporate lawyer for Bechtel in the city.

Uncle Towle, owned Rhinefarm during the prohibition and produced fruits and grapes to sustain their land. He helped his son Jim with sisters to restore and maintain their nearlly 200 acres of ranch-land. Cousin Jim was schooled in wine making science at UC Davis, and began in partnership with his father. But Uncle Towle died accidently by saving his granddaughter from drowning when she fell into their pool. His heart gave in to such a stressful event.

After the war, where he was wounded (by misfiring his own pistol), but was hospitalized in Paris, and returned to help win the war. He had had started his own business in Mill Valley called ‘Charlies’ Market’ when he was introduced to my mother, Virginia, who was a radio cooking show host, married, and I came along. His success within a year got him an insurance underwriter’s position through a city business executive who invited him to come aboard with the Hartford Fire Insurance Company team there in San Francisco. He served 38 years there and had a great number of friends that he kept in touch with untill his death in ’87 at 76. Something he did, I never knew about, was serve as advisor to the joint legislative committee  on seismic safety from 1969 to 1974, which he deserves honor for. Their efforts to advise state legislaturre helped to gain a permanent safety commission.

Dad led me into Scoutiing. He was a wonderful leader of boys. I always felt special because of being his son. Even when he advised me to get my eagle badge, and I refused on purpose just to see what he  would do, he respected my choice. I have always regretted not getting such an award, like my cousins received.

My dad took care of my mom for seventeen years, until her death in 1956, when I was 16 and Barbs was 14. Her loss was hard. She suffered from liver disease due to alcoholism and her health failed her. Dad provided support for us as single parent. We moved to Reno, Nevada for a six months assignment to help start a Hartford office there. I was benefitted greatly participating in the Spring ski team events winning far west event. I was truly healed of the loss of mom when returning from Reno to San Anselmo.

Let me just say, I have always honored my father until I realized he had no interest in religion. He enabled Barbs and me to attend church from as young as I can remember. But our parents would not go with us. The cause of that was that grandfather Carl told him that God was ‘In the garden’, and that religion was just like any business. So dad was happy to acknowledge the Supreme Being and call himself an Agnostic (Atheist). He respected my choice for me.

Dad remarried after I joined the Marines, and Barbs married the father of her two boys. Alice (Baumgartner) was an attractive secretary that made dad a happy socialite. They lived in the city until moving to Sonoma when retired to be closer with some of his family, as he went to the Santa Rosa High School graduating at 16 in 1927;  then he attended the U. of Washington in Seatle.

When I last talked to dad, he asked me to come out to see him and I just had to disappoint him. He wanted to have the chance to get right with God, and he was willing to finally listen to my testimony as never before. But I was suddenly belligerent and denied him even such a helping hand, believing it was too late for him at the time. I do now believe I was very wrong. (There is always hope: if you are still breathing, you can call the name of Jesus/Yeshua and be saved.) God is Author and Finisher of His Kingdom truly.

Dad asked Barbs to be his will-administrator, and to make the final call for the Neptune Society to come get him at the Sonoma hospital, cremate his body, and spread his ashes over the Pacific Ocean. She made the call.

Dad went to be with his fathers. From what I understand, our family was secular-Jewish. Three reasons: The oldest son was the heir; dad’s grandfather-in-law was named Jacob (Hebrew, Y’akov); and, dad gave me a large horn that he said Grampa Carl used for hunting . . . well, he did hunt, posting all of the licenses in a frame, and his guns too. But the horn turns out to be a shofar, a Jewish trumpet that is still used in worship today. (I lost these items when I left California, as a complete separation from the material realm, I gave them to my pastor.

I could not have asked for a better family to be born into. I am so very grateful to God for his merciful kindness in providing so many cousins that I could hardly keep up with. Thankfully, cousin Lee Sims made a great effort to record in a family tree and keep us all up to date with its great growth. The future is honoring our tree.

(If anyone wants to know what happened to California? Both my sister and I moved out of state, letting the great land-heirs to have the wonderful privilege of continuing their legacy of Rhinefarm Vineyards and Gunlock-Bundschu Winery business.) “It was fun while we were growning up, dad, but since you left, only Barbs was in an accessible locality to make the trip on Easter.”

“I have the three daughters and one son whom you met, but they are also not in California; managing their growing families well within the style and creative support that very much emulates your successful fathering that I must say, I miss very much today.” (Love you Dad)

FINDING TRUTH – ‘Wear your children like jewels’

(Wikipedia, painting by Angelica Kauffmann is called ‘Cornelia, Mother of the Gracchi, Pointing to her Children as Her Treasures, c. 1785, oil on canvas, 40 x 50″, Virginia Museum of Fine Arts)

Here is the inspiration of the day that texting a new twitter follower brought to mind. Funny how the Truth works, but the thought was joining together as Christian-Messianic fellowservants in building the Bride (Kalah) of Christ (Messiah); and I looked up ‘bride of Christ’. It brought a prophetic verse that means a lot to me . . .

“Raise your eyes, and look around; they (your children) are all gathering and coming to you. ADONAI (the LORD) swares: ‘As sure as I am alive, you will wear them all (your children) like jewels, adorn yourself with them like a bride.” (Yesha’yahu [Isaiah] 49:18 CJB) The King James describes this ‘wearing of them’ as ornamental clothes, that we can ‘bind them on’ us.

The context of such a remarkable text is found at the time between the fall of Israel and the fall of Judah, a date shown as 712 B.C. (or 3048 years after Jewish calendar began). It was during Hezekiah’s reign over Judah, just after the fall of (the northern tribes) Israel in 721 B.C., and just after Hezekiah’s divine healing when God added 15 years to his life for his repentance. (2 Kings 20; Isaiah 38, which led to much praise and rejoicing) But the prophecy continued to promise comfort for God’s chosen people. (Isaiah 40) The Messiah-Servant, (Isaiah 42) and this is the One speaking through Isaiah. (The Reese Chronological Bible, page 911)

Isaiah 40:8 “I am the Lord; that is My name! And My glory I will not give to another, nor My praise to graven images. 9 Behold, the former things have come to pass, and new things I now declare; before they spring forth I tell you of them.” (Amplified Bible)

So the beginning of the chapter 49, the prophet begins describing the mission of Messiah-Servant:

“6 And now says the Lord, It is too light a thing that you should be My servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob and to restore the survivors [of the judgments] of Israel; I will also give you for a light to the nations, that My salvation may extend to the end of the earth. 7 Thus says the Lord, the Redeemer of Israel, Israel’s Holy One, to him whom man rejects and despises, to him whom the nations abhor, to the servant of rulers: Kings shall see you and arise; princes, and they shall prostrate themselves, because of the Lord, Who is faithful, the Holy One of Israel, Who has chosen you.” (Amplified Bible)

Completing the context, we have to visualize the above and find the children spoken of.

(Isaiah 8:1) Then the Lord said to me, Take a large tablet [of wood, metal, or stone] and write upon it with a graving tool and in ordinary characters [which the humblest man can read]: Belonging to Maher-shalal-hash-baz [they (the Assyrians) hasten to the spoil (of Syria and Israel), they speed to the prey].

2 And I took faithful witnesses to record and attest [this prophecy] for me, Uriah the priest and Zechariah son of Jeberechiah.

3 And I approached [my wife] the prophetess, and when she had conceived and borne a son, the Lord said to me, Call his name Maher-shalal-hash-baz [as a continual reminder to the people of the prophecy],

4 For before the child knows how to say, My father or my mother, the riches of Damascus [Syria’s capital] and the spoil of Samaria [Israel’s capital] shall be carried away before the king of Assyria. (Amplified Bible)

The literal interpretation of Isaiah’s son’s name is: “Quickly-spoil-haste-spoiling” (Strongs) And the time-frame of when Isaiah (Yesha’yahu, ‘Yehovah is Salvation’) was first called was 745 B.C.; and this word was given 13 years later on 732 B.C.– for the northern tribes of Israel were captured in 721 B.C. — a relative ‘quick’ amount of time and when the boy was 11 years old . . . even 51 years before Isaiah was martyred (at 84) 681B.C., and  the Fall of Judah to Babylon, was 95 years after that, in 586 B.C.

Obviously, now, I can now say the context of Isaiah’s prophecies were to be recorded for generations to come. (I feel like what I am writing, and even the stories I’ve edited with Frank Ketoret, are for future generations.) This helps for us to understand that as he spoke of Jesus coming to work redemption, even six centuries later, then the children spoken of will be the Gentiles that flock to Messianic assemblies (Christian churches).

Can you see this? Is that clear enough? I really needed help to show some of the distance and relevance of Isaiah. (Refer to Jensen’s Survey of the Old Testament, Moody Press, 1978, page 333)

Would it be wrong to take the truth of God’s prophetic promise in Chapter 49 to be a personal promise as we are literally (Scripturally and spiritually — by faith-believing) IN Messiah (Christ)? Not at all.

You see, I have had to suffer a divorce, and the loss of four wonderful children. They are all now grown and have children who have given them children. I am not close to any of them because of a choice I made when remarrying into another family of four who have children, but not yet grandchildren. God provided for me, for them, and everyone has managed to live and love — and have their being. Yet I have a heart of hope for them all.

My vision here is significant enough to share with everyone. (If you have read this far) Everyone who has suffered loss similar to my failure to be the faithful husband and father, can now see that there is hope for repentance and forgiveness to enable restoration. Yes! Truly!

The hope I so cherish in my heart is that when the time comes — either here on earth, or there in heaven — Our children are coming quickly, (because) our destroyers and plunderers are leaving and going. (Isaiah 49:17)

We will raise our eyes, and look around; how they are all gathering and coming to us . . . we have heard the voice of the LORD, “As surely as I live, you will wear them (your children) like jewels.” I submit to this promise! In the Holy Christian Church (Messianic assembly) in the last days — so many will be coming, they will say, ‘This place is too cramped for me!’ Then I will be asking, ‘Who fathered these children for me?’ (The blessing of Adonai will be far more and far greater than all we can ask or think!) Amen.

How to just ‘slip into eternity’

(Associated Press)

Recently, after checking the mail, I opened the news-letter from Samaritans Purse to read this amazing story that speaks of about a recollection of Franklin Graham’s that tells of the ‘gentle giant’ Andy Meakins with his wife onboard the ill-fated flight of Ethiopian Airlines that crashed into the Indian Ocean just off Comoros Island in 1996.

(Please go to your youtube account and search for: “The hijack and crash of Ethiopia flight 961” I can’t link it.)

Graham wrote that Andy loved Jesus Christ and served him enough in Africa for many years. The flight was hijacked by terrorists who told the pilot to fly to their destination beyond the scheduled flight plan. The plane was soon to run out of fuel.

One engine flamed out nearing the island, so the pilot called to the cabin of 175 passengers that the only other engine would soon be out of fuel . . .

“Andy’s wife then heard her husband’s seat belt snap unbuckling, and turned to see him stand.” Graham wrote.

“Many of us might die in this crash,” Meakins said calling out, “so there’s something you need to know.” And to all the passengers that could hear him, he began ‘explaining the Gospel simply and urgently – moving to each compartment of the cabin so everyone would hear. He invited people to place their trust in Jesus Christ in repentance and faith.’ Graham said.

One of the attendants listened to Andy and openly responded bowing her head and publicly asking Jesus to forgive her sins and come into her heart — along with another survivor who later told of this story.

Of the total passengers and crew, (127 perished) 48 survived the crash due to the team of doctors who were vacationing on the resort island. (see the above referenced YouTube video that is there, but I’m unable to link)  Andy was not among them because he was on his feet proclaiming Jesus as the plane hit the surface.

Graham concludes, “Every day tens of thousands of people slip from this world into eternity – the vast majority unprepared, ‘dead in trespasses and sins’. We need to take every opportunity to share the love of Jesus Christ and the truth of the Gospel, the only message that will make a difference to a lost soul. Time is running out for all of us. . .”

The letter ends with this unique appeal. That as one man used his last moments to express extreme urgency for immediate conversions, the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association seeks every opportunity to win as many people as possible. (Ask yourself am I doing all I can to prepare for such final moments in a crisis?)

This month’s newsletter impressed me so much I wanted to send this out for you. The newsletter is available when you subscribe with BGEA, 1 Billy Graham Parkway, Charlotte, NC 28201.

Today I decided to share a blog I posted two years ago that might apply some insight with a friend. But I posted the wrong blog and had to delete, and reconsider if they would be interested in my knowledge. Then, now, I have just looked into my Nave’s Topical Bible and found texts that share a wealth of its knowledge. So, I just have to put this information into something I can present generally to anyone who might seriously seek the truth through bible knowledge . . . realistically speaking, of course.

My friend Pastor Joseph Prince spoke this morning of Hosea (Hoshea) 4:6, “My people are destroyed (perish) for want (lack) of knowledge . . .” He said this even telling it out of context — as most preachers do — because it makes sense and gets listener’s attention. But the rest of the verse explains why the destruction: “Because you rejected (my) knowledge, I will also reject you as cohen (priest) for me. Because (you forget) the Torah (Teaching of Law) of your God, I will also forget your children.”

Have we ever rejected God’s knowledge of the Truth? Have our lives become stuck in the consequenses of such rejection? My friends are all graduates from local (state) universities and are proud of all the knowledge of the Truth they have received. I don’t blame them. They have worked hard and deserve to have good occupational skills and careers as a result. But their majors are not theology or divinity, so they might forget God’s word.

Yes, they are well compensated for their having found acceptable knowledge (wisdom), and they want more! (Possibly more than this content — but may I be helpful here please?) My fellowservants have not rejected knowledge, and now want more, especially that of the ‘Truth‘. Let me present how the bible tells of such knowledge.

(My source comes from Nave’s Topical Bible by Dr. Orville J. Nave, DD, LLD, chaplain in the U.S. Army, MacDonald Publishing, 2002. The texts are presented here from the Complete Jewish Bible, translated by David H. Stern, JNT Publications, 1998. Also, Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance, Hendrickson Publisher, 2009; And one quote from ‘Back to the Sources’ Classic Jewish Texts by Holtz, Touchstone, 1984, page 317; All verses are copied and pasted from )

The Hebrew word for knowledge used in Hosea 4:6 is da’ath (H1847) meaning ‘cunningly, (ig)noranntly,(un)awares’, which is from yada, (H3045), to know by seeing, observation, recognition, instruction and punishment, etc. The knowledge spoken here is not school-taught, unless by Sabbath or Sunday School disciplines. So we see how a man perishes for rejecting godly knowledge — being determined not to discover truth no matter what, just because it is spiritual and not natural knowledge. (Go figure this out.)

Knowledge of good and evil:

B’resheet (Genesis) 2,

9 Out of the ground Adonai, God, caused to grow every tree pleasing in appearance and good for food, including the tree of life in the middle of the garden and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

17 except the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. You are not to eat from it, because on the day that you eat from it, it will become certain that you will die.”

B’resheet (Genesis)) 3,

22 Adonai, God, said, “See, the man has become like one of us, knowing good and evil. Now, to prevent his putting out his hand and taking also from the tree of life, eating, and living forever.

Knowledge is power:

Mishlei  (Proverbs) 3,

20 by his knowledge the deep [springs] burst open and the dew condenses from the sky.

Mishlei (Proverbs) 24,

5 A wise man is strong; yes, a man of knowledge grows in strength.

Knowledge is desireable:

M’lakhim Alef (1Kings) 3,

9 Therefore, give your servant an understanding heart able to administer justice to your people, so that I can discern between good and bad — for who is equal to judging this great people of yours?”

Tehillim (Psalms) 119,

66 Teach me good judgment and knowledge, because I trust in your mitzvot.

Mishlei (Proverbs)) 21,

1 The king’s heart in Adonai’s hand is like streams of water — he directs it wherever he pleases.

Mishlei  (Proverbs) 15,

14 The mind of a person with discernment seeks knowledge, but the mouth of a fool feeds on folly.

Mishlei (Proverbs) 18,

15 The mind of a person with discernment gets knowledge, and the ear of the wise seeks knowledge

Knowledge fools hate

Mishlei  (Proverbs) 1,

22 “How long, you whose lives have no purpose, will you love thoughtless living? How long will scorners find pleasure in mocking? How long will fools hate knowledge?

Mishlei  (Proverbs) 1,

29 Because they hated knowledge and did not choose the fear of Adonai,

Knowledge is a divine gift

1 Corinthians 12,

8 To one, through the Spirit, is given a word of wisdom; to another, a word of knowledge, in accordance with the same Spirit;

Knowledge is pleasant

Mishlei (Proverbs)) 2,

10 For wisdom will enter your heart, knowledge will be enjoyable for you,

Knowledge shall be increased

Dani’el (Daniel) 12,

4 “But you, Dani’el, keep these words secret, and seal up the book until the time of the end. Many will rush here and there as knowledge increases.

The earth shall be full of

Yesha’yahu  (Isaiah) 11,

9 They will not hurt or destroy anywhere on my holy mountain, for the earth will be as full of the knowledge of Adonai as water covering the sea

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge

Mishlei (Proverbs) 1,

7 The fear of Adonai is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline

More valuable than gold

Mishllei (Proverbs) 8,

10 Receive my instruction, rather than silver knowledge, rather than the finest gold.

The Cohen (priest) lips safeguard Torah-seeking people

Mal’akhi (Malachi) 2,

7 A cohen’s lips should safeguard knowledge, and people should seek Torah from his mouth, because he is the messenger of Adonai-Tzva’ot

Knowledge of Deliverance (Salvation)

Luke 1,

77 by spreading the knowledge among his people that deliverance comes by having sins forgiven

The key of Deliverance (Salvation)

Luke 11,

52 “Woe to you Torah experts! For you have taken away the key of knowledge! Not only did you yourselves not go in, you also have stopped those who were trying to enter!”

But knowing only in part

1 Corinthians 13,

9 For our knowledge is partial, and our prophecy partial; 10 but when the perfect comes, the partial will pass. 11 When I was a child, I spoke like a child, thought like a child, argued like a child; now that I have become a man, I have finished with childish ways. 12 For now we see obscurely in a mirror, but then it will be face to face. Now I know partly; then I will know fully, just as God has fully known me

Knowledge of God more than offerings

Hoshea (Hosea)  6,

6 For what I desire is mercy, not sacrifices, knowledge of God more than burnt  offerings

Knowledge of the Messiah (Christ)

Philippians 3,

8 Not only that, but I consider everything a disadvantage in comparison with the supreme value of knowing the Messiah Yeshua as my Lord. It was because of him that I gave up everything and regard it all as garbage, in order to gain the Messiah.

Lawrence Fine, in Chapter  6  ‘Kabbalistic Texts’, (Sources) wrote,

“. . .One’s knowledge of God is actually determined by the individual’s ability to recognize the extent of his or her ignorance. Understanding the Bible  in the proper philosophical way, and learning what language may or may not be applied to God, are the means by which one refines the intellect and perfects oneself spiritually.”

( Further study: Discovering true belief on the Roman Road )

In conclusion, let me just say, that at this point in our lives, if we have any doubts about knowledge of truth — the most powerful source is the Holy Bible. Everything else is opinion and commentary. The Holy (Universal) Church has controlled its preservation and we can rely on its authority.

God’s Memorials: A Dedication of Anything

(Rodolpho Bernardelli: Christ and the Adulterous Woman, 1881. Museu Nacional de Belas Artes)

Here is a remarkable sculpture, photo, and original text that tell something about our Deliverer. He is the only One who can advocate for us, and keep us safe before the immortal authorities.

To present this redeeming story, I need to relate some background . . .

I will extol You, O LORD, for You have lifted me up, And have not let my foes rejoice over me. O LORD my God, I cried out to You, And You healed me. O LORD, You brought my soul up from the grave; You have kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit. Sing praise to the LORD, you saints of His, And give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name. For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning. Now in my prosperity I said, “I shall never be moved.”

LORD, by Your favor You have made my mountain stand strong; You hid Your face, and I was troubled. I cried out to You, O LORD; And to the LORD I made supplication: “What profit is there in my blood, When I go down to the pit? Will the dust praise You? Will it declare Your truth? Hear, O LORD, and have mercy on me; LORD, be my helper!” You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; You have put off my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness, To the end that my glory may sing praise to You and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks to You forever. (‭Psalms‬ ‭30‬:‭1-12‬ NKJV)

When Solomon had finished praying, fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the LORD filled the (first) Temple. And the priests could not enter the house of the LORD, because the glory of the LORD had filled the LORD’s house. When all the children of Israel saw how the fire came down, and the glory of the LORD on the temple, they bowed their faces to the ground on the pavement, and worshiped and praised the LORD, saying: (2Chronicles 7:1-3)

For He is good, For His mercy endures forever.”

Then the king and all the people offered sacrifices before the LORD. King Solomon offered a sacrifice of twenty-two thousand bulls and one hundred and twenty thousand sheep. So the king and all the people dedicated the house of God. And the priests attended to their services; the Levites also with instruments of the music of the LORD, which King David had made to praise the LORD, saying, (verse 4-6)

For His mercy endures forever,” whenever David offered praise by their ministry.

The priests sounded trumpets opposite them, while all Israel stood. Furthermore Solomon consecrated the middle of the court that was in front of the house of the LORD; for there he offered burnt offerings and the fat of the peace offerings, because the bronze altar which Solomon had made was not able to receive the burnt offerings, the grain offerings, and the fat. At that time Solomon kept the feast seven days, and all Israel with him, a very great assembly from the entrance of Hamath to the Brook of Egypt. (verse 8)

And on the eighth day they held a sacred assembly, for they observed the dedication of the altar seven days, and the feast seven days. On the twenty-third day of the seventh month he sent the people away to their tents, joyful and glad of heart for the good that the LORD had done for David, for Solomon, and for His people Israel. Thus Solomon finished the house of the LORD and the king’s house; and Solomon successfully accomplished all that came into his heart to make in the house of the LORD and in his own house. (verse 11)

Then the LORD appeared to Solomon by night, and said to him: “I have heard your prayer, and have chosen this place for Myself as a house of sacrifice. When I shut up heaven and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence among My people, (verse 13)

If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer made in this place. (verse 15)

For now I have chosen and sanctified this house, that My name may be there forever; and My eyes and My heart will be there perpetually. As for you, if you walk before Me as your father David walked, and do according to all that I have commanded you, and if you keep My statutes and My judgments, then I will establish the throne of your kingdom, as I covenanted with David your father, saying,

You shall not fail to have a man as ruler in Israel.’ (verse 18)

“But if you turn away and forsake My statutes and My commandments which I have set before you, and go and serve other gods, and worship them, then I will uproot them from My land which I have given them; and this house which I have sanctified for My name I will cast out of My sight, and will make it a proverb and a byword among all peoples. “And as for this house, which is exalted, everyone who passes by it will be astonished and say, ‘Why has the LORD done thus to this land and this house?’ Then they will answer, ‘Because they forsook the LORD God of their fathers, who brought them out of the land of Egypt, and embraced other gods, and worshiped them and served them; therefore He has brought all this calamity on them.’ ” (‭II Chronicles‬ ‭7‬:‭1-22‬ NKJV)

The effort to bring the nation unto God, and God to the nation of Israel, was so dramatic, that they had so much blessing — how could they forget their consecration? But their generations, left God to himself, and felt they were righteous enough to judge people for their sin, and publically render punishment.

Yeshua (Jesus) came on the scene in the (second) Temple (John chapter 8), and dramatically awakened a fresh approach to life with cleansing forgiveness. When he had cleansed the temple, he became known of all the  unrighteous business people, and felt they had to come back with a testing of his authority . . .

When I became unfaithful to my former wife, I felt somehow justified because of the circumstances of our separation. When I confessed I had been unfaithful sexually, (A confession I needed to make), she was so upset. She sought counsel from her pastor at the local baptist church, and he gave her the phone number of the divorce lawyer who belonged to the church. And she demanded that I pay for it. There was little I could say or do to dissuade her.

I was caught in adultery. I learned what that felt like. I had to travel to my next duty station and leave her and our four children behind. She had a good job, and although I had requested our original assignment, before going overseas, I was forced to move on without them. That made divorce worse, even abandonment.

I came into the reception center of the new base, and who was there welcoming the new arrivals, but a couple who offered to volunteer with the base chapel to minister the Gospel and forgiveness to anyone and everyone who needed it. I was reluctant to listen to them, but they were honest and caring people.

The young man and wife approached the incoming personnel with a fresh and forthright presentation of their commitment to God. The base chapel program gave them permission and support to extend such chaplain’s ministry. This was offered to all faiths of course, but explained how hope of recovery from sin is with Jesus Christ. Their open and inclusive approach was genuine so I wanted to have what they offered.

The plan was to hear them read the bible, come over to their home, and attend chapel regularly. This seemed most attractive to me, so I joined with them. I was so thankful to God for this opportunity.

Three aspects of deliverance from the power of sin, death, and Satan’s power.

1. Historically: Jesus Christ (Yeshua Messiah) did the work to rescue mankind: Justification and regeneration equals redemption. (Titus 3:5; 2Timothy 1:9)

2. Currently: Present (falling) experience: Reconciliation receiving Jesus work ‘in process’. (Romans 5:10) Through Jesus life (Romans 6:5-14); To serve him in righteousness.

3. The final deliverance will be known by our resurrection when the last taint of sin is removed. (Romans 8:18-39; 1Corinthians 15:12-58) Fully bearing the image of Christ, Messiah.

She heard and felt Jesus words directly. So can we. The Holy Spirit (Ruach ha Kodesh) is present to reveal the LORD (Adonai) as a spiritual reality. He says what Jesus is saying to us: “Go and sin no more!”. I learned that within the fellowship that found me, I recovered fully to regain my holy self-image, and help serve.
